    Morning all,

The rear maxle on my 2013 T129 has decided to start rattling itself loose during rides which being somewhat inconsiderate. I have previously tightened the cam grub screw on several occasions however this hasn’t alleviated the issue either.

All of this has prompted me to get a replacement so opting not to get another maxle I ordered the DT Swiss RWS skewer. Unfortunately it won’t screw into the frame grommet as the thread pitch is different so as it stands I cant use it.

Is it possible to re thread the existing grommet to match the screw thread for the DT Swiss skewer or can you get new grommets made from anywhere?

Failing that are there any other alternatives that match the maxle thread pitch?

Call betd components. They make axles with the same thread pitch as maxle.
