    hi all.
went to piece together my bike and it looks like my rear caliper isn’t compatible with the mounts on the frame. it’s at a 90 degree angle to it, if you know what i mean.
i know you can get adapters but i’m a noob and don’t want to mess up!
    any info would be good.
    cheers

Which way around is the problem? Probably best if you can post a pic?

Sounds like your frame is IS assuming your caliper is a recent one. Is the holes on the frame are drilled from the side then they are IS. You need an IS frame to post mount caliper adapter. What size rotor and make of brakes?

You need to work out which is narrower i.e. the distance between bolt holes in the frame or the distance between the bolt holes in caliper. Narrower is IS mount and wider is usually Post Mount. You will need an adapter for one to the other, whichever way round it is i.e. there are 2 different adapters!

IS caliper to Post Mount frame is the awkward way round! which will limit the size of rotor plus the adapter costs slightly more. KCNC and Hope do one if thats the case.
