I wouldn't blame you :o) It would be selfinflicted after all… but the suicidal dog wouldn't be hurt by being mocked and the owner wasn't there, so unless one can have collateral deferred cruelty…

[edit] let this be consolation to you Tony – when I fell off my bike and knocked myself out last Saturday, I also cracked a rib landing on my camera. I just sneezed and it felt like I'd been stabbed – it was 30 seconds before I could breathe again :o)

Crikey. 3 pages of arguments about a strangers dog having a heart attack.

I, like one of the previous posters, thought it quite funny to picture the scene of the dog having a heart attack mid stride chasing his deadly foe 🙂

That doesnt make me any less caring about dogs being misstreated as imo the dog wasnt being misstreated. It just makes me able to picture the scene and distance my feelings of sadness for the death with the comic nature of the dogs death.

Some people on this site see any mention for or against animals as a red rag to a bull. Straight away threats are made and it gets childish.

We have neighbours whose back garden adjoins our own. They have two rottwieller dogs which went though a period of barking at my little lad when he was playing in the back garden. Not overly aggressive but more watching him and getting excited. I have 5ft fence all the way around but even then one day one of them managed to hit it so hard it dislodged the the fence panel. I put it back, fixed it in place and covered it in that reed stuff to try to keep the buggers out. I also mentioned that i have a knife inside my garage back door and if one of their dogs ever made it through the fence, regardless of wether it was just wanting to lick my sons face or bite it off, i would stab it in the heart.

This wasnt manly macho crap, i was honestly having sleepless nights about one of my kids being attacked in the back garden. Thankfully he took the hint and i havent seen or heard from them for ages so no probs anymore.

Why is it so bad that someone ( POSSIBLY – its debatable ) felt a certain way about something? What have their internal emotions got to do with the judgement of others? His actions have been established as neither right nor wrong so why scrutinize his personal feelings towards something?

Why are you so bothered that another forum user has a different reaction/opinion than yourself? I would've thought a forum user would have gathered by now that some people are different than others…..

It was the way he posted it viv – that is what is under scrutiny.

If he is glad it's dead, then that's his prerogative, however unpleasant that prerogative may (or may not???) be, but if he chooses to broadcast his opinion that the dog got it's just deserts on here – and in the manner he did – then he's fair game for some critcism.

Personally I think his attitude stinks and I'm not going to hold back in telling him so. Sorry if that offends you.
