New job on the cards, new commute. Looks like an expanse of dual carriageways and roundabouts between the two towns.
Are there any reasonable routes to take? Don’t mind a bit of offroad.

It can be done. 17 ish miles door to door.

    Where are you in reading?
Main option would be though shinfield, then by blackbush, fleet then finally farnborough.
Lots of on and off road options along the way.
Normal time for me is around 50 mins from fleet to reading university area.

Lots of good off-road to link it all together

Happy to help with a route 🙂

Used to ride that way to get to the bike training at Palmer Park – pretty well out to Winnersh and A321 via Wokingham, Crowthorne, Yately and then down the Minley Road to Farnborough. There’s a bike track on the LHS of the Minley Road that also takes you up and over the M3 down to Trunk Road into Cove. Obviously in the morning you’ll be contending with school run and commuter traffic. With daylight, lots of potential to head offroad across Barossa, Yately, Minley Common and Hawley Lake.
