Curse you, I’ve just done that joke on the books thread.

Which, thinking about it, is a bit meta in itself.

For me, it’s my definition of a favourite film. Would I happily rewatch it if anyone said “hey, shall we watch…?” despite having seen it countless times / recently.

As per the other thread, I used to but not anymore. I’ve seen The Big Lebowski, Apocalypse Now and Weekend at Bernie’s more times than I care to remember. OI’d sit and watch them if they were on, but wouldn’t actively seek them out.

In my teens I pretty much knew all the dialogue from every scene in Robocop and Point Break 😳

I’d watch Point Break again. Two cheesemeisters at their very best.

    Most prevalent for me are

    Magnolia
    Boogie Nights
    Mullholland Drive
    12 Monkeys

Loads, but Predator is a cert, soon as it comes on I can’t not watch. And First Blood.
Lately though most superhero films are all multiwatchable, I enjoy the brain off aspect as quite often I can’t be bothered with anything too cerebral.

Pulp Fiction. I’ll watch it whenever it’s on. I’ve got it on DVD and Blueray. But I’ll still watch it on TV if it’s on. If I catch it part way through I’ll have to watch it to the end.

Others I’ll watch repeatedly in no particular order:

    Django Unchained.
    Inglorious Basterds.
    Shawshank.
    Jaws.
    Blade Runner.
    Kingdom of Heaven.

    Guilty secret: A Knight’s Tale.

Yes the finest film available to humanity was on some minor channel the other week, lower quality than my DVD but still got drawn into it.

Agree with Shawshank, First Blood, Pulp Fiction – also Django Unchained which I watched twice in a row.

Oh and that film that goes to 11.

Big Lebowski, Star Wars, Aliens, Bladerunner. And VAST and Seasons I suppose. Ooh and Strange Days. It’s still weird and compelling.

And every so often I get the music from Gladiator stuck in my head and eventually I have to watch the entire bloody film. Could be worse.

I suppose, highest accolade is seeing things twice or more in the cinema. All the original star wars films + force awakens, Bladerunner, Jurassic Park- and South Park!

I have seen Heat quite a few times.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople quite clearly needs watching any time it shows up. 🙂

I struggled to watch that once.

Our Tivo’s got a lot of stuff there just for those “too tired to think but want something to keep the eyes entertained” evenings – Bourne, Bond, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Raid (more me than Mrs Pondo). My guilty secret is Happy Gilmore. 🙂

Oh Brother Where Art Thou? Went to see it again the next night aware that I’d missed stuff because I’d still been laughing at the previous line. Should probably watch it again.

rewatched Guardians of the Galaxy the other night

When I was a kid I’d watch films over and over. Must have seen Goonies and the Karate Kid 50+ times. The Matrix got some hammer when I get that too.

These days I’ll rewatch something if it’s on, or if there’s a sequel coming out or if we’re just having a binge. I’ve watched most of the Avengers films more than once.

When I was a kid I’d watch films over and over.

Most kids do this – mine was obsessed with Monsters Inc when he was little. 3 times a day every day (it seemed!)

‘No Country for Old Men’ isn’t really “earlier”, but I could watch that again anytime. And have watched it 3 or 4 times.

Opposite for me and I never get why people will only watch new films. Must suck as 99% of everything released after 2010 is utter garbage (made up stat 😉 ), not to mention a remake of everything that has ever been and probably a remake of the same film remade 5 years earlier.
