My forks lowers are looking a bit worn and manky.

Thinking of a lightly rubbing them down and then using some halfords spray paint on them missing the whole primer episode and going straight onto the keyed powdercoat.

Whatcha reckon? They are out of any warranty.

    Cheers 🙂

Plus One for Plastikote enamel. These were white, before three decent coats of black silk finish. Simply keyed teh old paint with alu oxide sponge thingy, degreased with IPA and let rip.

I did the plastikote episode with primer. Can’t say the primer made much difference really but take your time with em whatever you do. light coat – dry (i mean proper dry) – rub – repeat until happy

I left mine in the house for a week before i rubbed them down just to make sure they were dry enough.

I plastikoted my boxxers, it looked great but had no real durability, especially on the edges- it soon looked very second hand. Wouldn’t do it again tbh.

Plastikote comes in a range of lovely colours, too 🙂
