Hello, I’m about to buy a road bike with disks – is there anyway I can use this with my old school CycleOps rear wheel friction trainer, or does it demand one of the pincer new trainers with built in cassette?

    Thanks.

You can buy adaptors for some. I don’t think you can for my one, but when investigating I def found you could for others.

I enquired about this a while ago, tacx make adapters for thru axles, not sure about cyclops. I used my tacx turbo trainer with disc brakes no problem at all.

I bought a tacx trainer and all the stuff to go with it, used it while my ankle was healing from a torn ligament and now it is all sitting in my wardrobe. It helped when i needed it though.
