Dear Singletrack Massive

In memory of my Mum, who sadly passed away from cancer in February this year, I’m competing in the Bristol Bikefest (http://www.bike-fest.com/bristol) 12 hour mountain bike event on 4th June 2011 as a solo rider. I’ve done the event for the past two years as part of a four-man team, but this will be my first solo attempt.

Before she passed away, Mum received care at the Sue Ryder hospice at Leckhampton, near Cheltenham. I can’t praise the staff there highly enough for the care that they gave her in her last weeks, and for the support that they gave to us. I’d like to raise funds so that they can continue to help other people at such difficult times.
