I liked the look of these from what was on show at eurobike. does any one know if there's any more information floating about, or when they'll be available?

Order in and waiting for them to land. Which won't be for about three months.

We're doing a titanium version with sliders too!

Bike company in 2011 products not available until 2011 shock.

I really wish you hadn't said that about a ti version!
will that feature the headtube box?
Will the standard model come in the same colour as the eurobike one? it looked great.

I think the 16in one was 5.1lb which sounds about right as it's effectively a Blue Pig tubeset, with a 10% lighter downtube and lighter rear dropouts.

No plans for the head tube box on the Ti, as it's not really needed there. It would just be extra foof, more heat, and Lynskey get funny about things like that.

Piglet will come in "illegal ivory" (as shown) and golden delicious green.

    That piglet looks yum.

Is there any stiffness/performance benefit to the three finger chainstay? I remember it being a great solution to chainsuck/clearance but I wondered why its there instead of a 'normal chainstay on the QED singlespeed...

    Posted 1 year ago #

seems little point in it being there instead of a 'normal chainstay on the QED singlespeed...

I was sat on the toilet the other day when I thought the same thing!

Currently revising the QED to have a "not 3 finger" chainstay

Which will save weight AND money

Have to say the Piglet is the one I'd be considering.

Is it designed to take a bit more than 120 travel? Have some Talas forks and whilst they'd be run at 120 most of the time, it would be nice to use 140 on the downs.

Is about three months the ETA for the revised pig and pig x too?

    Posted 1 year ago #
  13. john duke - Member

I'm thinking an 'illegal ivory' piglet with 120mm a bolt through fork is my next 'must have' bike.

    Posted 1 year ago #
  23. crocodilian - Member

Another name option: Brawn. a lovely dish made with a pig's head amongst other piggy bits and bobs, including the trotters of course. Yum.

  24. brant - Member

Oh Brawn... that's really good. Hora named the frame Blue Pig, the, er, Blue Pig you know... but don't tell him cos he doesn't know. It came up in a thread beginning of 2009 I think, as a good name for a bike

  30. brant - Member

Hey D. Yeah, we changed again. Too many blues, and I didn't like that other one. Colin's putting it on the system, Frank's got to OK it all yet though. Can we talk like this here?

Cool for the shirt. You haven't seen my digital camera have you?

Lynskey are making the first sample as we speak. Drawings proofed printed and passed last week, started cutting metal on Monday.

Essentially, it's the same tubeset and dropouts as the TD:1 with a straight seat tube, and a 44mm head tube to allow it to run tapered pimp forks.

    D?! Its L!

There was a camera floating about, i assume Andy or Ed picked it up, might be worth a quick email.

The other blue was a bit 'limp' Red is fine with me! Erm probably not, Frank will probably be watching
