Everyone seems to be talking about next year's kit already…anyone out there know what we can expect from Brant? Maybe some updates to the current frame range, but what and by when, I wonder?!

    Cheers,

    Shiny bars and stems?

(Although they'll be available by August/September…like most 2011 bike bits!)

Aye…I've seen the shiny bars and stems, but also seen mention of updated frames on the way. Curious as to what's changing…

    there's a full bouncer on the way according to twitter;

Edit – not sure if that is going to be a Ragley, though, or another shedfire design

    Not another combusiton induced evacuation?

To burn down one shed might be considered unfortunate, but….

No. No. No. I don't want to buy a new HT, even though the FS keeps breaking & I've been back on the DMR that I can't kill.

Other bars, from other companies are available.

Rumours of a dead flat and straight 600mm TD:600 bar are denied at present.

I know that other bars exists, brant it's just another useless fashion IMO. Last week one of your fellow british with a super-wide bar got a massive crash because he clipped a tree. And I can think about a few ride where I struggle to get a 660 wide bar through…
720 might actually be wider than my shoulders. Cant you do normal width bar but with more sweep (and in normal diameter too 😉 )

Will the bars be in green too? And what's the weight on the low-rise version pls?

720mm sounds like a pretty good width to me btw.

What are your plans for the Pig, Brant and when will it see the light of day? Will we see a tapered headset? Or are you keeping schtum?!

Our British trees are not so close together. Or are all wide bars crash-inducing and DANGEROUS?!?!?!?

720mm is, by my calculations, 9mm wider than my 711mm Sunlines were. I'm not a mathermatician or a botanist but I doubt that difference would be enough to suddenly cause me to crash into every tree in scotland, at least no more than usual.

711mm turned out to be too wide for me but lots of people like it.

I am not sure a pipe cutter will help to be honest. If you remove 30mm from each side, will you be able t still fit grips, brakes and shifters…

i would assume so juan. Ive cut about 60mm off bars before and still been able to fit controls very far inboard for one finger braking.

I used to laugh at super wide bars too, thinking i aint gonna get through trees etc…

Then i swiped Ed O's ragley for a swift blatt at Lee quarry….

Guess what's up front on my patriot now 😆

bike designing is a doddle. You get the catalogue from Taiwan, close your eyes and pick a page at random and say "I want that one"
