My licence is endorsed ICF and I’m covered for third party.
What about personal injury?

I use Dogtag as it includes being rescued ie if I need a helicopter etc. on getting to hospital my experience was that they were only interested in my EHIC. Dogtag covers repatriation too, hospital and rescue. You obviously need to select the right level of cover. If your doing a few trips a years cover is pretty cheap IMHO

I think third party only covers you for the damage you might inflict during the race, ie crashing into a spectator
