£46 at merlin for seatpost, stem, and bars

would they be a big step up from OEM on a £500 GT hardtail?

My OPINION: I think the bars will be a nicer shape for you, and it will look nicer, but it is heavy – I've got the bars and seatpost on Ebay right now for a mate, personally I would spend your forty-odd quid on a nice stem or some EA70 bars – especially since the classified have a few nice ones lately.

    – – – – – -ride xc – deus xc
    seatpost – 295g – 245g
    stem – 175g – 135g
    handlebars – 270g – 210g
    total – 740g – 590g

only 150g more than deus which is £130
all depend what is on the bike currently,

Are a few grams really gonna make a difference to your ride ???
Just put them on my single speed and they've made no difference to the ride at all !
But… they look good and feel right to me, and that's what matters! 😉
