  • Quiet dog friendly beaches in north Norfolk?

My old dog goes in for an operation this Thursday after being diagnosed with having cancer and I’m planning a little day trip away from her usual walks. I think the nearest beaches from me are the north Norfolk coastlines, so is it just a case of pick one because they are all lovely or is there any good spots to take a gentle stroll. Many thanks.

Holkham is beautiful and epic. Dunes plus expansive sands.

Little further down and Waxham beach is our go to for dog walking.

    Definatley Holkham.
We went a few weeks back with our hound and the kids and it’s lovely. You also have a cracking pine forest belt just behind the sand dunes.

Wells is ok too and just round the corner.

Start at Wells. Walk along the beach to Holkham and then back through the woods to Wells. Top dog walk.

Quite few North Norfolk beaches have restrictions on taking dogs on to them. Less stringent over winter admittedly…

Thanks guys, some lovely suggestions. She’s not really a long distance walker anymore but she does love a good sprint around so a beach will be perfect.
