Can anyone tell me the difference between the M780 and M785 XT brake models please? Is there anything significantly different between them?

I assumed the M780 is the older version of the M785 but I I am probably wrong!

Any help is much appreciate.

M780 is v-brake, 785 is disc brake.

on the merlin website they are disc brakes along with the m780.

Looks to me like the 780 is euro spec, ie front is LH and not right hand.

Ok, that makes sense. They look identical to the M785 one otherwise? I don’t understand the price difference though! I’m very tempted.

arghh…I looked and now I am tempted!

Looks like they might be OEM spec as they come with pre-trimmed hoses. I think the retail ones might come with a bits to let you shorten them yourself.

Its terrible isn’t it…..Its pay day too……
