You honestly expect an answer to that.

I would expect it depends on whether the importer is discounting or not, when the bike was ordered – early season will be more expensive than end of season when they are dumping stock. Additionally you need to remember that the margins vary from one importer to another and one manufacturer to another.

You will also find that if a shop has a bike that is out of season it may well elect to take a loss inorder to free up the cash.

Bike shops are allowed to cover costs and make a profit.

How much do you earn, what are your outgoing, do you make a profit on that?

LOL.. With the exact figure, not really .

Just hoping someone would humour me and answer the question, i probably need to rephrase my question.. Got this dilemma of returning an unused bike (took it out of the box then thats it, been sitting in the room since last xmas) and probably not in a return policy anymore as its about a month and more now, always fancy the sb66c.. Just made up my mind now. Emailed the bikeshop already … The waiting time is a killer. … I presume if the profit margin of the sb66 is significant enough , they would still accept the return.

Depends how much you bought the bike in for in the first place, if they’re a big shop with better buying power they’ll have bought more and got a better deal, so more profit.

Posts crossed there, you can only ask and see what they say.

Why not call them and ask them if they will bend the return rules a bit to get a deal ?

I know email is easy, but does nobody ever pick up the phone anymore 😐

Deals are best done face to face.
If that’s not doable then pick up the phone.
Email is a last resort for this sort of thing in my view.

Bike in car, drive to shop, show you really are going to do a deal 💡
