Noob question – If im putting a bigger middle chainring on and it looks as though the clearance is going to be tight, can I just pop another couple of spacers in between the chainset and bb?

I doubt it unless you can remove spacers from the other side… And if you’re running a big ring too your front mech might struggle to get out to it.
