    Okay numpty question.
Removing a left hand crank arm. The bolt is pretty tight … should I be rotating anti-clockwise or clockwise?
I assumed “anti” as in lefty-loosie but I have a sinking feeling that I may have just tightened it more.

If it’s just one bolt, that sounds like a self extracting bolt on an older style internal BB, in which case it getting tight is normal as you try to overcome the resistance of the crank being stuck fast on the axle.

    It is a self-extracting FSA

Yep, unscrew anti-clockwise. Sometimes a drop of oil helps to ease the inner bolt (that you’re unscrewing) to move against the “retaining ring” that secures it in the crank.
