I have just bought a pair of wheels, (not had them in the post yet) the rear wheel is Q/R which is what I want but the front is not Q/R (and have just been told this) does that mean I cannot use the front wheel with my forks? My forks are Fox Float 100 RLC from 2004.

depends. Some hubs (Hope Pro2 for example) can be changed.
And probably some others. What have you bought?

“usually” (but not always) if the front hub ain’t a QR, it can be made to be a QR with the fitting of some adapters.
    What are the hubs?

Not the latest XC but from a couple of years ago

UMMM all Hope XC hubs are pre Hope Pro II’s (ok there may have been some overlap too), so are “all” from a few years ago… Doesn’t sound like the front one is Hope XC, could potentially be a Hope Bulb (20mm and QR compatible) if it is Hope branded?

    Any pictures?
