    hi all,
what is the deal with QR9?
Is this just an extra fat QR skewer?
Or do you need specific wheels and fork?
does it actually offer any stffness improvement over a regular QR?
And what is QR15!?….ah, so many options…so little cash!
    thanks for the help

    hmmm, i think i might be being stupid…is QR9 a regular QR?
Maybe I mean what is QR15 and what upgrades does it require, ie: axle, hub, fork? cheers

It’s a ‘bolt thru’ for the forks (QR bolt thru??).

Bought one a while back, but unable to ride at the mo so don’t know if it improves stiffness. Hub would need modifying/changing if currently using regular QR as is larger diameter – about 9mm 🙂

Thicker ‘through’ axle that sti fits in conventional 9pm fork dropouts
You need the correct wheel mod but don’t need special forks
Stiffened my front up a little but not that noticable, since bent the wheel and gone back to normal qr’s

I use the DT Swiss RWS 9mm front and 10mm rear as you can get adaptors for hope pro 2 hubs. They are good but expensive.
