How do you put a two minute clip from iPlayer on to YouTube? Is it even possible?

Out of interest, why would you want to?

Aside from anything else, I expect that it breaks the iPlayer terms of use so there’s a good chance youtube would take it down anyway.

There’s a bit on the latest QIXL about the campaign to ban killer robots. I know a lot if people who are working on that campaign, would be nice to be able send around the clip somehow. Maybe YouTube is not the best idea, but there are a lot of clips of QI on there already.

Only for your own personal use you understand, but something like iPlayer automator will let you download the episode. Then you need to trim it, iMovie or something similar should do the trick. Then email or upload to dropbox and share the link. Youtube/Vimeo might let it stay up, they might take it down. Something more private might be best 🙂
