Can anyone tell me the difference in pushlock and poplock? I’m on the lookout for a new set of 100mm forks (budget £250-£300) and am currently looking at rebas. Merlin have the 09 Reba race poplock version at £300 or the 09 SLs with pushlock for £290. I’m not sure which represents best value for money – can anyone advise or offer an alternative?

Poplock – black plastic lever/clamp, with a little button to release.

Pushlock – shiny silver lever/clamp, push to lock, push again to release. Bit more blingy.

I have one of each, when swapping bikes I always end up pushing/prodding in the wrong place 🙂

Oh, some of the poplocks have a blue dial for compression adjustment, whereas I don’t think the Pushlock comes with that option. The dial just shortens pulls the cable a tad, effectively holding the lever a couple of mm towards the lock position.
