Soon be Hawthorn cutting time and yet again my one and only local ride is out of bounds – or is it?

Anyone used Dr Sludge, Joes No flat tubes, or the Hutchinson Self sealing tubes to make a comparison – Which is the lightest?

….I dont want to go tubeless 😕

I know you dont want to go tubless but have you tried going tubeless – I did 1 week ago and it was actually quite easy 😉

I used some sludge tubes a while back – I’ll say one thing, they’ll get you fit, the extra rotating mass is really noticable. They didn’t seem to cope that well with the monster blackthorn and hawthorns we were beset with.

Oh, its the monster Hawthorns that are my problem – they go staight through a puncture resistant tyre.

    Anyone else tried these things?

you could get some tubes with removable cores and add some wheel milk – a 100 ml bottle will be *loads* for two tubes.

then you’ll know exactly how much mass you’re adding!
