Used to be a complete hole but now much improved The Quays in Mytchett is quite nice on a sunny day as you can sit out on the patio watching the wakeboarding on the lake.

Ever so slightly out of the way but I had a lovely lunch at the Fox and Hounds in Theale recently.

    I liked this:

Slight detour though, but it is nice and in the middle of the forest.

The Crown and Cushion in Minley:

Please don’t go there. They have been everything from indifferent to downright rude to our local group (Tunnel Hill Trolls) who have literally spent thousands of pounds there in the past. The landlady (I think it was) was actually rather stroppy with me personally at one point. They don’t seem to like cyclists, TBH.
We don’t go there any more. Avoid.

    EDIT
I see my good lady has beaten me to it! ^^^^
