    Manufacturers recall:

Recently there have been several failures of bikes with Drillium components and several riders have suffered grievous injuries, such as anal reaming from seatposts, leg spiking from cranks, and wrist slashing from handlebars.

It turns out that although this wonder material is exceptionally light it gets very fragile if there is an excess of oxygen in the mix.

In all cases tested by Jugaad Materials laboratory the failure ocurred in an area with approximately 80% O2 content.

The problem can be averted by reducing the quantity of O2 and replacing it with a suitable alloy or C/F.

Patches and inserts are available now from all reputable dealers and from as little as £5 each. C/F patches from £50 each.

80% O2. So nowhere round here then. The atmosphere is ~80% N2

Round here it’s mainly CH4, thanks to the omelette I had last night.

Damn! I edited it for brevity – the original was correct. Typical of Jugaad Materials laboratory…. 🙁
