Quite a character. His mum has a great accent too.

I may have to try car o’ bar down in Rusholme.

Thinking back. I liked the programme. I also liked the ending, where he was emotional infront of the camera. He struck me as a funny but gruff character. He even swore abit at the beginning about the heat and the traffic but he was man enough to let the production crew keep the end with him getting misty-eyed.

As with Guy Martin in India- I’m liking the real, slightly gritty and down to earth cookery/travel programme format of these two shows- agree?

If we had motorway services like ^ I think I’d be on the motorway network a wee bit more……..

great show and confirms mr singh is a likeable guy as i suspected!

i once had the pleasure of stopping at one of those motorway services. the dal we ate cost about 10p for a bucket full and was absolutely amazing. like no other dal i’ve ever tasted.

Can anyone recommend me a readable account of the end of the Raj & partition?
