Why dont you shim it? I did with mine.

Buy the USE seatpost shim 30.9 to 31.6.

How long are they from the insertion mark to the centre of the rails?

pretty it says in the instructions not to use a shim with it.

I use a shim with my maverick. Willing to use one on the other bike! Both alloy frames and worth having a post that will do a number of bikes in the future*edit: as i might sell one soon so its probably likely that it`ll fit the next bike too. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone else to do this,though. :O)
