Foaming crystals for sale in Muirhouse and Tranent?
This is clearly a front for something illegal.

Better than Iron Bru - wonder how close it is to the original

Kramola Fizz is made from sugar, tartaric acid, extract of quina, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, stabilisers and natural colour
http://www.herbalremedies.com/quina.html is in it because?
Presumably goes down a treat with the deep-fried Mars bar and fat-soaked "pizza".
Chased by a couple of "jellies", no doubt...

What kind of batter does it have on it?

I loved it as a kid. In England as well as Scotland IIRC.

Orange flavour though? Just wrong. It needs to be the proper "Red" flavour like it used to be.

or was that cresta that had the polar bear in the sunglasses?

Oh - magnificent! We used to get that from the wee shop in Lyness up on Hoy
Not seen it in many, many years - I think 10 years back I discovered a lost tin of the stuff in the Finstown shop whilst up visiting!Must tell my wee sister!

Would you risk leaving your bike or car in Muirhouse to buy some though?
I think I'll be making the trip out to Tranent, lovely stuff from what I remember
