having seen the love for 4×4’s on this site before I though this may be of use; A colleague just stopped someone stealing his oldish Landrover yesterday. The guy / thief was winching it onto a low loader andd when challenged said he had been paid to collect it by a new purchaser. When the police arrived he stuck to the same story and handed over his phone so they could speak to the “customer” he of course said he would come in to clear the matter up but lo and behold his phone is now dead. Low loader driver nicked, his gaff s18’ed etc. LR is basicaly ok, smashed sterring lock etc. My colleague has been told that there has been a recent spate of Landrover thefts in Surrey and they all seem to have been lifted, this may put a stop to it but be warned
