I’m banned from playing scrabble on our house. Apparently I don’t play it properly 😥 have given up trying to explain why putting 5 and 6 letter words down isn’t always the best score.

Prefer the “real” scrabble app – after papers it’s either scrabble or bridge on the commute! Very middle-aged

I think it uses SOWPODS (or has the option? Been a while since I played it) so words should be as cromulent as the official game.

I think proper scrabble let’s you have ch as a word. Words with friends doesn’t.
The ease of z and q words now means that v and c words are more difficult and should score higher.
Some of the words allowed are just plain silly.

Mrs Binners has given up playing random games on scrabble (and now makes do with whooping me at it) after endless games where some bloke comes on, plays one move, then messages ‘hey there sexy!’, or something similar. Prompting another exasperated “OH FFS!!!”
