Not sure if anyone has done this but Decathlon have a good sale on at the mo, and unlike wiggle, chain reaction etc you can actually try the stuff on first.
I bought these bib tights which I’ve worn today in -3 C and snow, they performed really well.

I bought a pair of Pearl Izumi Amphib tights for £25 today. Bit more of a bargain!

A few left, too. Stonehenge Cycles….

Go for 520 or 700 bibs as there is a good jump in quality of fit/materials over the 500

Give them a ring on Monday. They’re having a good clearout sale at the moment, maybe the website is a bit behind.

I wear the same size in PI as Spesh, Endura, Bontrager, etc. They’re not on a small Italian mould, that’s for sure.

Baggy on the calf the AmFibs. Good as they are, I find the fit pretty awful.

    Get some bigger calves, then!

Or Assos tights – which fit properly 😉

But yes, getting fat would work.

I looked at the 520 and reckoned they weren’t worth the extra however comparing the pad in the 500 to the £5 cheaper 300 is night and day. The £80 ones though look amazing but can’t justify that kind of money for tights to commute in.

Sizewise the fit is snug but not uncomfortably so, I’m 5’11” slim build and the medium was fine.
