    Hi All

I am looking for some advice and help in regards to a product recall – Specialized Epic Comp 2010 (26er).

I brought the bike around June 2011 on the cycle to work scheme from my LBS (it was discounted as it was “last years” model). Anyway yesterday I was searching the internet for a replacement seat clamp (bike not to hand) when I found the following to my surprise!

I was never informed of this product recall nor ever contact by my LBS or Specialized.

Now, before I contact Specialized did anyone else go through the same process with them and know if it is a simple fix, replacement part or frame replacement OR has anyone reading this been in a similar position in the past (I never have).

To Note – the bike is still under the extended lease of the cycle to work scheme (extended 3yr bit) and will I need to contact them, etc, etc or just resolve via Specialized.

Thanks so much for the help

had the same model bought from LBS, i was told all the stock bikes had to be modified prior to sale. Its highly unlikely yours slipped through the net, especially when you bought the bike in 2011. Im pretty sure the recal was issued in 2010.
