I think you misunderstand the purpose of the fictional still suit.

Have you ever tried to work really hard in the intense humidity of the monsoonal season?

I would have loved something that extracted all the moisture from the air around my body.

(My understanding was that the still suit did just that, and not extracted it from the general atmosphere because the planet was too arid.)

I thought the stillsuit kept the body moistened to protect from the arid atmosphere. Probably wrong though, been decades since I last saw Dune.
