I have a HOPE Pro II and 20mm axle (Marzocchi) front set up.

There’s a very slight ‘wiggle’ coming from the hub / wheel. It isn’t noticeable when I’m riding. It feels a little like a lose headset or a loose disk rotor. It’s definitely coming from the hub though. As though the diameter of the axle is a fraction too small for the bearings.

It’s not the pinch bolts.

Just live with it or is something wrong?

Sounds like bearings time. Should be a quick, easy job.

I had the same issue through 2 sets of bearings (some from a local bearing supplier, and some from ebay, but both “high quality”) when I went from QR to 15mm.

As soon as I put in proper bearings from hope, the issue went away.

Use proper bearings, and the proper tools, is my advice.
