Ok hive mind I know you are better than google, I need a new printer happy with just printer, or could be a scanner too, but I want reliability, I have had two Epsons go wrong in 3 years, both rejecting new cartridges and never playing again. Any recommendations?

    Secondly
They have a review of 100 odd printers on Which and I am considering paying to see them, but I wondered if which is actually trustworthy……

I would have said an Epson, my first lasted 7 years, the one I have now is about 5 years and going strong. I print quite a lot about 80 colour pages a week. Can’t say my experience with Canon has been good, my mums has been a PITA.

My old Epson was a bag of ****, whereas the Canon that has replaced it has been superb.

Which’s best buys are headed up by mono lasers, HP’s & Dell’s.
If you want an ‘all-in-one’ then their top best buys (in order) are:

    HP Photosmart Premium (C309g) £99
    Dell P713w £150
    Dell P715w £105
    Dell P513w £90
    Lexmark Prospect Pro205 £149
    HP Photosmart Wireless (B109n/Q8444B) £49
    HP Photosmart Plus (B209a)£79
    Canon Pixma MP640 £109
    HP Officejet Pro 8500 (CB022A) £149
    EPSON Stylus Photo PX800FW £260

If you need more detail from Which, let me know! 😀

PC Pro have the Canon Pixma MG6150 at the top of their A-list.

Oh, and from personal experience on various electrical purchases, i’d take Which reviews with a large pinch of salt these days. Certainly not what they used to be.

If you don’t need colour, find an old Laserjet 4 or 5
