E: In the true spirit of my Christmas before having the more civilised Christmas with Pa – Tyrrels multipack crisps as an appetiser, in around an hour cooking a massive plate of Aldi Cumberland sausage rolls, eventually having a dinner of Aldi breaded fish fillet, chips & peas at which point I suspect I’ll be a bit smushed. Around midnight I’ll start on the florentines & cheese straws.

D: Wine, red. Maybe later opening the bottle of Ardmore given by a very kind member of staff (humble-brag: great boss)

L: R4, but give it an hour and I’ll be watching Lego batman or something.

After a terrific ride across the Kerry mountains today I hear the pub calling.

Just had a cheese sandwich with a bottle of Pirate’s Gold ale while listening to the missus nagging politely asking me to get the disassembled cooker I bought for spares off the front path as it’s not very festive.. Honestly, I offered to put tinsel on it!

In a strange fusion cuisine/home alone for the weekend

Eating – lamb rogan josh, followed by a mince pie

Drinking – deciding whether to head for the pub, or stay home with a Marmalade Porter
