Does anybody out there know if the cargo bike specialists Practical Cycles is still trading?
I’ve tried to contact them about 10 times to discuss a Surly Big Dummy / Rohloff build but to no avail.
I’ve tried through my email, my partners email, their Facebook page, their very own website contact page and left a message on their answer phone as well.
I know the Facebook message has been viewed as it’s marked ‘Seen’ and then the time / day.
They proudly boast they will answer all enquiries within 24 hours but usually within a few hours. I’ve not heard anything in over 2 weeks.
Any ideas as I’m weary of purchasing stuff off their website if they’ve disappeared into the ether.

Further to my attempt of contacting Practical Cycles. Nowt. No result. Nothing.
I’ve tried leaving a phone message, using their contact forms, using my email, my partners email, their twitter account, their facebook page and even had a friend contact them on my behalf. No reply. Don’t know what the problem is but as a web based shop surely they wouldn’t have any custom and suss there’s a problem. I’ve been trying to contact them since 27th December.
Usually I wouldn’t bother but it seems they have the only Surly Big Dummy in the country at the mo, that’s nowhere near the bonkers £2000.00 price tag for the 2017 model.

They’re closed now until Feb 1st so there’s no chance of getting my Dummy for over Christmas or the beginning of next year.
Has anyone had any dealings with them recently and what were they like. They seem to be well respected with good feedback so what’s going on?

Have you tried Tim at Sideways Cycles or Charlie the Bikemonger?

Have you tried ‘Keep Pedalling’in Manchester they list them and have always had good service from them.

Take it you noticed they only have a 16″and 18″in black at Practical cyles at the discounted price the 2017 models are another £357 onto(apologies if you already know this)

I had an email from their eBay shop yesterday so I assume so.

Good shop, bought a pushchair from them years ago and a carradice bag earlier this year.

Really useful cycles are excellent if you want a cargo bike
