I came off on some large rocks recently, and things are now slightly bent out of shape in the general crankset area. At the moment it’s a (2006 vintage) Race Face Evolve XC crankset, with a Shimano Deore 36t middle chainring and a Hope bash where the 44t chainring should be. As I look down when I pedal, I can see the chain moving in and out on the chainring, and I can see the bash guard moving parallel with it. Until I take it all apart I can’t see for sure what’s bent and what isn’t, but in case I need to replace the whole lot, would something like this SLX crankset fit the bill? I’m running a Hope bottom bracket.
