Hi all
I'm considering selling/swapping my Cotic Bfe - I'm after a lighter XC bike of some description.
Reason being - finances mean i'm cutting back on everything, and I currently have the BFe and a cross bike/hybrid. I can cope fine with just a lighter, less burly XC bike, and I'm not likely to be doing the sort of riding that the BFe deserves for the next 6 months anyway.
Ideally the swap would be maximum equal value as i'm not in a position to be spending more!
Wonderful bike - bought the frame this year (Gritstone). Spec as follows:
Frame: Cotic BFe Small Gritstone
Forks: Magura Wotan (2007 IIRC) with remote travel adjust (160mm-120mm)
Headset: Cane Creek
Chainset: SLX with FSA 34t ring
Chain device: Heavliy modified Superstar (works perfectly)
Wheels: Rear - Hope Pro 2 with DT Swiss 5.1D, Front - Hope Bulb with Mavic EX721.
Tyres: Ghetto Tubeless Schwalbe Big Betty Gooey Gluey
Shifter: XT
Rear Mech: SLX
Seatpost: KS IS850 with remote (may well want to keep this but open to negotation)
Saddle: Old WTB or no-name slim-line one
Bars: Easton EA50 2" Rise
Stem: On-One 456
Grips: Loc-Ons
Pedals: Wellgo Flats or Shimano SPD
Brakes: Juicy 7 - front is newer 2009 model and has braided hose
Condition?
Couple of cable rub marks, and the brakes are a bit battered (the rear one is quite old), but just been bled with the proper kit and have new pads.
Forks work fine - have the usual Wotan top-out on full travel but they were like that from the factory - you can dial the fork to 90% travel and it gets rid of it. I had to threadlock the RH stanchion retaining bolt in as the threads got damaged (original bolt snapped when being undone) - been like that for a year with no leaks or problems and the forks function fine.
Drivetrain/headset/wheel bearings/crank bearings are fine and should be plenty of life left in them.
Pic is a little bit out of date (Tyres/Saddle):
