just been to have one puncture repaired, whilst there i noticed a bit of wood sticking out of the tread of the other front tyre, it is right on the edge so if it has punctured the carcass the tyre is scrap.

I am hoping that it hasn’t actually puctured the tyre and intend to carry on using the tyre. But am wondering if there are any precautions that may help extend the tyres life? Sealant?

Also it is a front tyre, so would it be better to put the tyre on the back or leave it on the front?

Just get a new tyre. Sticking a punctured tyre anywhere on the car is not really a sensible idea.

if the tyre was worn or i hadn’t just forked out for insurance, mot, tax, service etc in the last couple of weeks i might agree…. I guess the best compromise might be to use it as a spare, and use the current spare in its place.
