Do it. You spent time earning that 30p, don’t let it go to waste. And pies were made to protect the meat.

    Is it green and furry?

If yes, then remove green furry stuff and eat
If no, then rub tummy in a comedic, clockwise, motion and eat.

    i assume you mean 29th march 2011.
2010 is a maybe, 2009 i would probably give it to the dog.

‘use by’ is just a lie supported by the government to promote food sales.

No, you can eat that. That’s the ‘sell by’ date. See how that works? 😉

Having been a pork pie maker n coniseur, that date is totaly irelevent as the pork is cured n cooked then will take a least a week past sell by date to be the least bit dodgy.

EAT IT >Bring on the BRANSTON n GUINNESS.

There’s probably that much fat and salt in it, it’ll outlive you if you don’t eat it

they never had fridges, cellophane or use by dates when they invented pork pies.

    Eat it!

Traditionally, pork pie was made with pickled meat ( generally bits of pig’s face ) so that it would keep.

Modern stuff no doubt has to be kept refrigerated otherwise all our children will die.

Bit like jam that has keep refrigerated on the label. It’s preserve FFS.

    29th March?

    Meh. Only 3 days ago.

“Sell by” is different to “Use by”, so a few days is irrelevant if it’s been stored correctly.

I never pay much attention to “Use by”/”Sell by”/”Best before” dates – they’re all set by paranoid hypochondriacs anyway.

If it looks and smells ok, it probably is ok.

    🙂

There’s that much salt in them it’s practically preserved anyway.
