They’re all pricks as well.

They’re all as bad as each other really but catholics are just ridiculously hypocritical.

From my point of view anyhow. Brought up in a catholic family, catholic schools etc. From a very young age I was convinced and most forthright in my opinion on the whole god thing. I was treated like some sort of evil doer and practically bullied into ‘seeing the light’.

So yes, they’re pretty much all pricks

Well you have to agree with one thing he said there, it’s certainly not banal.

My guess is that he’s going for the smoke-screen strategy. By getting the media to focus on the monumental u-turn in Catholic dogma/doctrine, we’ll all forget about the priests and their catamites and start thinking of the Catholic church as a forward-looking, progressive-thinking institution which will lead us boldly into the 22nd century, albeit with a reduced population and a vengeful Catholic God on our cases.

I might be wrong (though that’s unlikely :D).

Stops his pervy priests splashing their holy water on the altar boys.

I predict that the next radical u-turn will be on homosexuality.

That way priests can have safe, consensual relations with other priests and the altar boys will be safe.
