Anyone else not giving a crap about the self pitying end of the Special?

You brought it on yourselves, you tits.

Entertain, barely, educate or inform? Nuh.

Did you sit through the whole thing just to complain? Plenty other channels.

Just talking about it. Clarskon is an arse but the response from the veterans was unwarranted. Having said that, I read a book by an ex para who met up with Argentinian vets in Argentina. They treated him well as a fellow soldier and explain how they’d been abandoned by the government when the military dictatorship fell.

Stupid thing for Clarkson to do given heightened tensions.

Stopped watching years ago, well past it’s sell by date imo.
Either that or just too old to understand the reason why so much money is being wasted on dross like that 😐

I thought it was pretty good. It wasn’t earth shattering by any means but followed the top gear formula.

ERM, I pay for it…it caused a bit of a media storm at the time, I thought there might be a bit if intelligent/reasoned comment here…

…but is that the best you haters can do?

Last bit was the most interesting bit. Although it’s not sport to see anyone get hurt, there is little bit in me that thought it was interesting to see the tables turn for a change.

And although in this case it’s debatable whether they were actually winding anyone up for a change , it does feel like the classroom joker could learn a thing or two from this experience.

It was a physical manifestation of people on the internet being offended or the Top gear team are idiots.

    Probably a mixture of both.

I got bored and switched to auto gyro and historical government propaganda videos on youtube.

To old to understand it makes the BBC more money than any other program.

That “wasted” money earns the BBC multiple times what it costs to make.

Doesn’t matter if you like it or not, at least you can rest assured that they are arsing about and having fun, so that the BBC can afford to pay to make programs that whiney whingers on the internet might like 🙂

I suspect that Top Gear makes the BBC money as so many other channels buy it, so technically WE only pay in the short term!

I wonder what would have happened if an Argentinian film crew had staged a similar stunt ending up in Portsmouth? I reckon it’s a good thing that the vets didn’t actually catch up with the crew until the very end of the road.

BTW I was going out with an Argentinian girl in London during the Falklands conflict; she was a lot of fun and against her expectations she was treated with the greatest kindness by everybody here.

2nd part was better than the first, except the apparent outback welding of the mustang steering arm.

the nerve of those Argies eh?
who’d have thought they would get so stropy about a game of footy.

It made me want to go to Patagonia. Stunningly beautiful part of the world (I knew that before the program but it was still good to see).

It does well and is a good earner for the corporation but top dog is Dr Who

Well I only saw the last 30 mins of part 2 so I don’t know what sparked off the trouble (don’t say the war).

How does a TV programme create so much angst on here? People will be claiming that The Apprentice is about business next!!!

Notice how clean his hands were when he did his piece to camera?

My God man – are you telling me they now edit the video they shoot? FFS, now it’s just not believable anymore…..

Probably because one the presenters would quite happily mow down every cyclist on this site in his car if he thought he would get away with it.
