Has anyone done it or seen any? I have done two pairs of Z1s and seen an AMAZING pair of Fox 40s in France.

I am having a fork swap around and need to polish some Revelations

Just wrap them carefully in aluminium foil (shiny side out of course).

erum.. well they need to go with my Flameboy, so yeah, polished lowers.

I’m going to steal Mrs Flamejob’s Revelations, put the Pikes from my Bitch on her Five and put some 36TALAS RC2s instead.

All the parts on this bike are raw, there are no stickers, logos or paint except the laser etched hub, brakes and headset… oh and the tyres.

    I like to polish stuff…

what’ll be more difficult is stopping them fur up from corrosion.

old skool zocchi’s were polished, but they always looked tatty. no idea which bits were alu/Mg though.

No need to worry about corrosion if they’re polished.

I polished both pairs of my Z1s these are the 100mm ones:

The 130mm ones are the same, but without the canti mounts

They are bare without any lacquer and they have been like that for 5 years now.

a mate years ago stripped his Boxxer lowers but left them raw rather than polishing them. – they were fine.

is that the sort of thing you wanted to hear?

What I am hoping to hear is that ‘yeah I have polished a pair and they look better than a 53 Chevy grille.

Jumper: No. Who the hell tucks in their jumper anyway?

Nice bike and nicely built, ignore the crap you get on here. Can’t help you with the RS polishing but you seem to know what youre doing 🙂

Lead the way Flamejob, get your Solvol out and show us the pics when theyre done…
Even if the RS are magnesium and it doesnt respond so well to polishing is it possible to chrome them?

I polished my Mag 10s to match ny RTS back in the day. Came up lovely but quickly went dull so needed re-polishing alot. Or you could use laquer.

OK… I’ll set to the revelations as soon as I can get into the garden with a bit of sun. 😐
