The mother in law had a new radiator fitted, but it’s leaking. The plumber came back and sorted the side that was leaking, now the other side is leaking.

To save calling the plumber out again, Is it just a case of giving it 1/4 turn? It’s not the junction that goes into the rad which has tape on it but the nut to the main pipe.

    Thanks

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how well the olive and pipe are on the pipe coming from the floor. Old pipes get damaged. I wouldn’t want to say, just nip it up, as it could make it worse.

    As above really.

Did the plumber fit new valves or just a new rad.

The olive could be buggered and tightening it up could make it worse.

Or you might not know how to do it without putting stress on the joint and it could come off completely ?

I’d get the guy back to finish the job personally. Better than mucking it up yourself if you aren’t sure what you are doing.

I thought that might be the case. I’ll leave it.

    Thanks
