I've got a leaky cartridge in our Ikea tap. Have had it out to clean and descale before but this time it's not liking it. I can't get any sense out of Ikea's online support thingy (although Anna does seem quite fit) and internet googling on seems to have revealed that the maker is actually the Shanghai Roddex Bath Hardware Co Ltd from China.

Any idea what part this would be / any recommendations for a physical or online source who would have spares / be able to get spares?

On the offchance anyone has a spare – it's the left side which turns through 90degrees anticlockwise to open.

Your best bet is to probably find a local independent hardware merchant who stock all sorts of old tat.

When we had an issue with an Ikea tap nowhere could get the part we needed and Ikea were as useful as the preverbial – as a last resort went to a hardware store and after a bit of rummaging the old boy who runs the place found what we were after – £2 😯
