    Hi

after any recommendations for non techy but scenic/interesting/character etc rides for a bimble with gf – hills ok but non techie surface essential (or just the odd technie bit – but not too much pushing) – loops would be great or one way with train/etc, even country roads with limited traffic.

As examples we’ve done anad enjoyed B’ham canals, New Forest railway line, Bournemouth Prom, Kennet and Avon, Tarka, Glentrool Blue, etc etc

    *interesting pubs/bun stops a bonus
    Cheers

Taff trail is good. You used to be able to get a bus that went from Cardiff to Merthyr to Brecon so you could do the first half, the second half or all of it. No idea if that still runs. First half is the nicest.

    Elan Valley ?

Ride from the village gently climbing alongside the reservoirs , made up cycle track / path all the way. Admittedly it’s an out and back, but can be a loop if youare happy with a rude out across the hills , from the upper reservoir, with a bit of pushing over the moor, then back to Rhayader on double track .
