    its truly terrible, but it does have the rather dirty lovely Lydia Rose Bewdley, so I force myself to watch.

    It is very funny. Grumio is my favourite character (“he was a ****, so I shat in his hat”). It is also, according to my classicist friend, surprisingly historically accurate, perhaps because the inimitable Mary Beard was an advisor.
