Lately I’ve noticed a lot of Oak Wilt on the trails where I thrash around. Now before I did a googlewiggle I didn’t actually know what was turning nearly all the Oaks brown, it’s starting to look like Autumn already. Shame really cos’ I love to see Oaks all green like.
You lot noticed anything around your way?

Are you sure its not drought? If you really think it could be sudden oak death you need to contact the tree officer at your local authority and stop riding there – bikers and walkers are one of the main vectors for the disease.

    It looks like this…

Erm, well you know what I did think it was drought. I mean we’ve had not a great deal of rain down here… but then I’ve noticed it’s all around the Hamble River and theres enough water in there for sure, ok it’s brackish but water non the less, and it’s covering all the Oaks, not just one or two where I could understand the lack of water etc. And I was in that London at the weekend and it’s up there too..

So I’m now wondering if it’s “global” (when I mean global I mean UK)

Anyhoo’s I’m now on the lookout for other stuff..
