Great bike – very comfy on longer rides due to the less racy riding position, builds pretty light and great looking with the usual Lynskey weld and finish quality.

Mine is built with Ultegra SL, Hope Hoops and Planet x finishing kit.

Got one on C2W scheme – very nice with full DuraAce and DuraAce wheels – very nice and light (not weighed it) and comfy too. Good build quality – nothing has needed a tweek yet.

I looked into them, the lack of disc mounts & lugs put me off, but if you go to Lynskey's site you can get them added to the same frame 🙂
Have you looked at the Van Nic Amazon?

i think i'll stick with the planet x thanks 2unfit.
my ti456 is beautifully built, and service fron on one is second to none really, and it's a Lynskey !!!!

@ digdug – i was surprised it was 'only' 17.5 lbs compared to some carbon full build weights at similar prices (madone 4.5 / focus cayo / etc)…

It seems that there is a strong link between Sportive and Ti456 ownership 😉

The Dura-Ace (7800 IIRC) bits on my Planet X SL carbon are lovely – never ridden a SRAM equipped road-bike though.

Like the hidden cables on the sram shifters but the Dura Ace is a much prettier groupset imo. (shallow I know)

P.S. TLR if you are undecided on sizing, mine is an XL and fits my 6'3" frame like a glove

i'm @ 6' so will go for a size L having studied the geometry charts……..what stem length however – i have long arms !

Only you can really decide, I'm afraid, as you need to decide which feels best to you. I currently run Shimano on the road bikes, but having tries SRAM recently, I am sorely tempted to change!

can the ti sportive take guards / rack and what size tyres will it take too ? i'm hoping it's an adaptable all year round solution 😀

    thanks guys.

Has all the fixpoints to take a proper rear mudguard but front will be dependant on fork choice eyelets/clearance). Rear clearance is good so you could get some pretty wide tyres in there. No rack mounts.

bigdug – cheers – did you buy the whole ensemble from planet x ?
how long is delivery usually ?

    thanks again 😀

Frame and fork only initially as I had existing wheels/bits and sourced the groupset from Merlin. I think delivery took about 2-3 days from ordering online.

The sportive will take full length SKS Chromoplast guards.
I had some fitted to mine in the winter.
There are threaded guard/rack mounts above the rear wheel dropouts, there are no threaded rack mounts on the seat stays for an upper mount.
I managed (just) to fit a full length SKS front guard to a standard PX carbon fork. I bought my sportive before they had sourced the mudguard compatable fork, but though the clearances are not great (23 Ultremo tyre) they are good enough.

There is plenty of rear clearance for a bigger tyre, not so much on my front fork, but the current forks used for the Sportive are more suited.

Never felt a need for a fatter tyre though as the frame/fork combo is very comfy as is, and is stiff for climbs.
