    I bought an XLS frame from Planet-X and now need to sort out a press fit BB. They recommend the SRAM PF30.

    Now, here is the daft question.

    I am transferring over the bits from another bike which has a Shimano CX70 crankset on it. Have I got to buy a completely new crankset, or can the CX70 work with a press fit?

    The CX70 will work fine, but you’ll need as Shimano press fit BB. I’ve got one spare you can have for £20 posted if you want – never been used.

    Are they Hollowtech 2? If so yes, I’ve just installed XT cranks in my PF30 BB using the sram adaptor.

    Not been out on a ride yet, hopefully tomorrow
